The Mind Control

  • The Mind Control
Spring 2017 // 40 x 62 in. // Acrylic paint, threads, color pencil on hardboard

A painting revealing how mind and thoughts can manipulate senses.
I believe we see what we believe. A lot of the times, people look at the world in the way that they want, not the way it is. In the painting, colors were used only for the heart and the brain. The body parts represent the five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. I distorted the body parts, because senses are often false.
Colorful threads come out from the mind and are connected to the various part of bodies, showing that senses are often deceived by the heart and the brain.
