The Poetics of Space

  • Poetics of Space is a book designed to contain, convey, and personify an essay by John Stilgoe entitled “On Gaston Blanchard’s The Poetics of Space”. The text plays with the idea that one’s early perception of the home space affects how the outside world is understood and experienced. The books design embraces this concept of inside/outside by creating patterns that correspond to key phrases in the text and dividing them between two spaces on each spread.
