The Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago (JUF/JF) will host its 2015 Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on September 17. Serving as a valuable resource for Jewish families for more than 100 years, JUF/JF annually funds nearly 70 community initiatives that range from Jewish education to health care and emergency aid. The JUF/JF Annual Meeting presents a unique collaborative opportunity for donors and members, as Jewish community leaders will be in attendance to lead discussions on pertinent community concerns.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. with the Jewish Federation’s Annual Business Meeting, during which attendees will honor retiring board members and elect new leadership. In addition to providing a platform for discussion of critical community issues, the meeting will feature the presentation of the Samuel A. Goldsmith Award for exceptional young professionals serving Chicago-area Jewish agencies, as well as the Davis, Gidwitz & Glasser Young Leadership Award.
The annual meeting’s luncheon will commence at noon and will feature remarks by JUF/JF president Dr. Steven B. Nasatir and guest speaker Deborah Lipstadt. During this time, JUF/JF will also present Frances Horwich with the Julius Rosenwald Memorial Award.
