Inima is the Romanian word for heart. Why Romanian? Because it sound cool. Inima is an interactive build up toy, it is meant to engage the kid in a building activity that will not only promote their motor skills but also their spatial, and linguistic abilities. Inima is constructed through a series of disks; most disks will contain a fact or curiosity about the human heart. As Inima is built, it will transform into a life companion for the child.
Inima seeks to not only teach the child about the heart but also accompany him/her in their daily activities; having a detachable pendant heart that the child will be able to carry around, carrying a part of Inima with them.
Not only will the activity of building it will provide information and engage motor skills through the logic and building activity, but the interaction of a parent or guardian is also encouraged, bringing not only the child closer to the product but creating an activity where the parent or guardian can be engage with their child’s learning too.
Inima’s sex is unspecific and the clear nature of Inima is to allow any character projection the child wished to attribute to the product. For the creators of Inima a good product is one that can be given a very personal identity and narrative unique to every individual product. The notepad in at the base of Inima is for the child to write notes, thoughts or even something about Inima or him/herself; again, the purpose of the product is to open the possibilities of identity.
