Exploring identity, visibility, and color through writing and illustration, this piece was inspired by the variance in perspective I have encountered in response to my gender. Iridescence was a strong analogy for my multifaceted identity, which is perceived in a multitude of ways depending on who is doing the looking. Coming to terms with the disparity between how I see my self and how others view me, I explored the idiosyncrasy of color perception as a corollary to the idiosyncrasy of gender perception.
