IDEA: Create brand identity for a Shinto Shrine, Ise Jingu, in Japan.
CHALLENGES: Use creative ways to introduce cultural/religious locations to visitors. Design should be easy to read and reflect Japanese cultures accessiable to audience with different backgrounds.
SOLUTIONS: Hand done illustrattion of attractions in Ise Jingu to reflect the sense of appreciation of detailed and refine work in Japanese culture. Create proper empty space in layout and combinations of overlapping letters and images to reflect the idea of beauty of simplicity. Black, white and red are used to represent Japanese national colors.
