Consumption as Sensory Deprivation

  • Audience sat in a red-lit┬ásmall enclosed room listening to white noise and narration from a book about sensory deprivation techniques implemented by the CIA. All the while there was a shrine of Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds french fries in front of them, which created immense fumes, which the audience was left to decide to take or not. The piece is in conversation with attention/distraction and manipulation in relation to consumerism
