This poster was designed to promote the portfolio application deadline for d.studio, an upper level Visual Communication Design course at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. d.studio is a course that allows students to gain professional studio experience through guidance from SAIC's Marketing and Graphics Communications department and VCD faculty to design print and web material for the school.
This short term project took place in between the two major projects of the class. My concept was to pair the image with a tag line "d.studio wants your brain" which is upside down as it would appear on the back of your retina. Therefore, the poster is conveying that you need your brain to see correctly and d.studio is calling for your brain's performance to do work. Also, the brain visual is made from a fingerprint alluding to the calling for an individual's unique creativity.
